When I originally installed 1password on this particular linux computer (kde neon latest) I believe I followed the instructions on how to add the application through the package manager and apt found...

My understanding is that this issue was created by a change in how we host the public key. Fortunately, that was a one-time thing, and it shouldn't cause any further issues from here - so you should be able to install from either the .deb or the apt package manager in the future. That also means that the installation instructions that are up at https://support.1password.com/install-linux/ should still be good - and I just verified this by replicating the install myself on a KDE setup. 😃
