Unable to update to the beta from the production version

Hi,

A while back I accidentally switched to the Nightly channel.  I since switched back to Production and waited a Production build to release.  I am now on Production and want the beta. I have switched to the beta channel but when I check for updates I get nothing.  I've checked the releases page and there are definitely beta builds with higher version numbers than my current Production install but it refuses to update me to them.

    I'm sorry for the continued inconvenience, the issue is still open in our developer's backlog. For the time being, installing the beta version manually continues to be the best workaround if you'd like to switch from the production to the beta version of 1Password. 

    I did download the beta last time as you suggested, but it then went and updated to the next Production when it came along.

    Sometimes a production release has a higher version number than the current beta. In those cases, 1Password temporarily updates to the production version until the next beta is available. Due to this bug, the switch back to beta may not happen and you'll need to manually reinstall the beta version if you end up in that situation. Alternatively, you can stick with the production version for now until the issue is resolved.

    This is STILL an issue.  Right now I know there is a new beta as your changelog page shows a new beta is available but I just keep getting updated to the latest Production version even though I have Beta selected.

    Will this get fixed?   I did download the beta last time as you suggested, but it then went and updated to the next Production when it came along.

    I'm sorry that you haven't been able to update to the beta version of 1Password for Mac. This is a recent issue that our developers are aware of and an internal work item is open to get it fixed. For the time being, you can manually install the beta version from our release notes page: 1Password for Mac Beta
