Universal Autofill isn't working in Comet version 140.0.7339.186 on Mac

So I replaced the 1Password extension in Comet and it is now Version 8.11.14.24. 1Password Autofill is now working in Comet IF there is a matching Web site in a 1Password Login item, but the ⌘\ Autofill shortcut in a Website username or password field does NOT work.

    Thank you for clarifying. The Command-Backslash shortcut uses the desktop app's Universal Autofill feature rather than using the browser extension. There is a known issue where Universal Autofill isn't working correctly with recent versions of Chromium. The issue affects all Chromium-based browsers including Perplexity Comet. 

    I've added your report to the internal work item for the issue. For the time being, as a temporary workaround, I recommend using 1Password in the browser to fill your logins in Comet by clicking on the suggestion that appears on the page. I'm sorry for the disruption caused.
