I am under the impression that 1PW can be a 2FA. But every time I try to use it as such, it fails. Do I need a 2nd app, such as Authy, to generate the random code? Can I link that app to 1PW?

That guide includes steps for setting up items saved in 1Password through various methods, 1Password in the browser, 1Password.com, or within the apps (including Android).
