Hi Dave 1P_Dave,
Restoring individual items fails to adequately meet my needs, given the constant addition and removal of new items. How can I identify completely new items (and thus missing from a backup), or those that have been deleted?
I wish to revert to 1Password 7 for its duplicate removal tool. Despite its limitation of only removing exact duplicates, it remains better than having no option at all. I have more than 5000 passwords, many of which are nearly identical. These duplicates arose during my transition from the standalone 1PW6 to the subscription model—I migrated both standalone and cloud vaults from several computers, assuming duplicates would be merged, or could be screened in bulk. This situation occurred before 1Password implemented measures to help prevent this issue, which I had identified—an example of the risks of early adoption.
I've communicated my concerns about this problem here and to support for years. However, the only proposed solution so far has been to manually review and delete the duplicates. I've already manually deleted/merged about 2000 near duplicates, with many more remaining.
