Using 1PW7 after 1PW8, Backup Strategies, and Cloud Backup Verification
Can I run 1Password 7 after running the latest beta of 1Password 8, without damaging my database?
What's the best way to create a local backup, preferably encrypted?
What about 1Password Cloud ...

2 years agoI'm afraid that I don't have anything more to add than what Ben and the support team already shared: at the moment there isn't a way to automatically identify and resolve duplicate items using 1Password 8 for Mac. I see that my colleagues have already shared your feedback that you find such a feature to be vitally necessary with the Product team internally.
The "Clean up duplicate items" tool that was included in 1Password 7 is very conservative. If two items are even a tiny bit different (modified date, etc), 1Password 7 will not remove them. You can certainly install 1Password 7 and try to use the tool to see if that might resolve some of your duplicate items. Any that are remaining will need to be removed manually.
I understand that it's a frustrating situation and I'm sorry that I don't have a better answer for you at this time.
