Using 1PW7 after 1PW8, Backup Strategies, and Cloud Backup Verification
Can I run 1Password 7 after running the latest beta of 1Password 8, without damaging my database?
What's the best way to create a local backup, preferably encrypted?
What about 1Password Cloud ...

Thank you for your response. I did attempt to use 1Password 7 again, and the “Clean Up Duplicate Items” tool managed to find four duplicates among hundreds of near-duplicates.
I'm still uncertain about my other inquiries concerning backups.
Understanding 1Password's hesitance to provide a deduplication tool or suggest a workaround might help us accept these limitations. Similarly, we're unsure why the user control over backups was removed. The rationale we were given, that 1Password is concerned users might unintentionally delete necessary passwords, doesn't quite add up. It would be more logical to incorporate ample warnings and disclaimers, or even require us to sign a liability release. Furthermore, no explanation has been provided for the removal of backup controls.
