Thanks for the question! There are several different ways that you can sign into a website, including but not limited to:
- A password.
- A passkey.
- A sign-in with provider (like Google).
1Password is there to help you manage and sign into the services that you use regardless of which of these options you choose: Use 1Password to sign in to sites with supported providers
If you choose to sign in to a website using Google then authentication will be entirely handled by your Google account and not a separate password or passkey that you use just to sign into that website itself. This means that it's important to safeguard your Google account, and use a strong password or save a passkey for that, since your Google account unlocks other accounts.
