What is the difference?

Under Categories, what is the difference between a "Login" and a "Password"?

It cannot be deleted, but you can certainly remove all of its contents if you are sure you don't need them anymore :+1:

At least in my case, I see no reason for Passwords - every password that I need is already stored as a Login. Can the "Password" category be deleted or at least cleared out?

    Hi lerbi:

Thanks for asking about this. A Login is an item that you fill on a website with a username, password and website all being part of the item. A Password is exactly that, just a password. You might use this for a physical alarm code for your house, or a locker combination. Items that are Passwords cannot be filled into a website or app, so generally if you're storing an account in 1Password, you would save it under Logins.
