3 years agoWhere has the ability to view the password gone in the new Quick Access?
In 1Password 7 and below, I would often need to log in to something on a machine which doesn't have 1password. A very common thing for me to do was to open the quick access, open the item and view the password - sometimes with big type sometimes not - but it now seems I can't look at passwords at all in the new Quick Access, I have to open 1password proper?
Currently you can use the right arrow key to view the login item; can you make the right arrow view the password once you've opened the item?

Thanks andrew_l_1P - that's definitely helpful. It's an extra step I'd like to avoid, as it is after all the "quick" access, but it's a good workaround for sure!

Hi @leezamary, ahankins, and @alonsofedz,
Another option here is the
ā+Okeyboard shortcut once you've found the item in Quick Access. This will open it in a separate window from which you can reveal the password (Tommy's shortcut works here too) or open it withShow in Large Type. I'll include a link with more info about Quick Access shortcuts:Let me know if you have any questions. š
And thanks for the assist, DavidB, always appreciated!

Yes, this is definitely a feature that completely went missing and was extremely useful.

Thanks all
Yes in the browser extension you can do this, but in the new quick access, they seem to have killed this feature and I'm not quite sure why. It's been hugely useful to me.

You can also use the toggle
Command+Rfor an on/off type of switch while using the main app. - DavidBDedicated Contributor
Wonder if there is a setting to always show the password.
Not in the browser extension, although you can in the application (Preferences > Security > Concealed Fields > Always show passwords and full credit card numbers.

You can view an item's password in the browser extension by clicking the down-arrow in the password field > Reveal.
