...and if you're using your phone and 1Password doesn't offer to generate a password?
I'm surprised by your expression of surprise that it doesn't always offer a password suggestion. I have experienced both the offering and the non-offering so many times that I have no expectation of it working. Sometimes, I can get it to work by clicking in and out of the password field a few times. It seems to be more of a problem on my Android device than MacOS. I run Brave on both.
Additionally, I searched the web for how to generate a password via 1Password and was astonished to see folk complaining about this in multiple threads, for years. And when I say "folk", I mean "paying customers". One of whom expressed their intention not to renew their subscription, solely due to the lack of a stand-alone password generation feature. Could be worth consideration!
I would like one for random, pronounceable usernames too. Your competitors have this.

I'm sorry that 1Password doesn't always provide you with a password suggestion. When using Brave on macOS, you can find generated passwords in three different places:
A password suggestion using your preferred password generator rules in the inline menu itself:
A customisable password generator by clicking the inline settings button in the inline menu:
A customisable password in the 1Password pop-over from the Brave's toolbar:
...and if you're using your phone and 1Password doesn't offer to generate a password?
On Android, we're more limited than we are in Brave on the Mac since Brave on Android doesn't support browser extensions. Instead we use Android's native autofill technologies to fill and save passwords in apps like Brave.
On Android you can follow this process to generate a password for a website or app: Use the password generator to change and strengthen your passwords
Let me know if I misunderstood.
