Where is the search function on an Ipad?

Sorry...realized I have the wrong folder for this one.. don't see a way to move or delete it.

Just upgraded to 1PW8. Where is the search function on an Ipad? I see the side menu on the left of the screen...but it doesn't include a search function. Also see no setting to add it.

Why is such a simple thing so difficult and confusing?
