The Save in 1Password feature is useful for cases when you are typing in login details which aren't currently stored in your 1Password account as a login item. Once you've entered your username/email and password into the fields on the website, then tap this button, this will allow you to save the credentials to 1Password as a new login item.
The feature is also very useful in cases where a website has an additional field, such as a PIN or additional ID which is a constant value. Typing this value into the field, then tapping Save in 1Password will ensure that the additional field in the saved login item is saved correctly and will correctly autofill this field the next time you attempt to login to the website.
