Why does the Chrome browser extension "crash"? And why are settings reset each time?
Per title - since yesterday the Chrome extension has been crashing roughly once per hour.
With each crash the irritating autofill and autologin settings are all turned back on.
Two hopefully-simple questions for the 1Password developers:
1: what exactly is "crashing" with the extension? Why is 1Password the only browser extension that suffers "crashes"?
2: why are settings being reset when the extension "crashes"? Why can't the settings be reloaded from persistent storage?
I and multiple other posters have put up with this irritation for at least two years now.
Please make your extension more stable, folks. This is awful UX.

Hello alexgreyhead2! 👋
I'm sorry that 1Password is crashing on your end. Can you tell me a little more about what you see when the crash occurs:
- Do you see an error message? Or an actual message letting you know that 1Password in the browser crashed?
- Are there any specific actions that trigger the crash? Or is it completely random?
why are settings being reset when the extension "crashes"? Why can't the settings be reloaded from persistent storage?
1Password stores extension settings in Chrome's browser storage. If your settings are being reset then it sounds like something on your device might be clearing that browser storage. Are you using any app cleaners or security or deployment software that might be clearing Chrome's browser storage?
