Windows Installer doesn't work

I am trying to install 1password on my Windows 10 computer.  It doesn't work....

I downloaded the installation file "1PasswordSetup-latest.msixbundle" and...

  • If I double click on it, the mouse cursor "wheel" appears for a half second, then nothing happens.
  • If I right click and select Open, the same thing happens.
  • If I right click and select Install, the same thing happens.
  • If I open a Windows PowerShell change to the directory where the file is located and enter "Start-Process ".\1PasswordSetup-latest.msixbundle" the same thing happens.

My computer is running Windows 10 Pro, version 22H2.  OS Build 19045.6456

What do I have to do to get this installed?  This seems broken.

  • Hi rdibley , sorry for the delay getting back to you here. I understand that you're having trouble installing 1Password for Windows.

Could you make sure that you have access to the Microsoft Store on this device, and that the Microsoft App Installer is fully up to date? Both are required for the MSIX installation to work.

If you've confirmed both of those and the 1Password installer still does nothing, please email us at support@1password.com and we'll be happy to help troubleshoot this further.
