Your interface has become extremely slow
I used to enjoy opening the 1Password Dialog Box on my M1 MacBookPro. It was fast and responsive. Not any more. Now it feels like there is glue in the system. Whether I search for an item or try to e...

6 months agoHi Sergio_B,
I'm sorry the performance has been so poor! Can you right click on 1Password in the Applications folder on your Mac and select Get info? In the window that opens up, what does it say in the "Kind" field? We've had cases of newer Macs inadvertently running the Intel version of 1Password and seeing degraded performance.

If you discover that's the issue, you can delete 1Password and download it again to get the Apple silicon version with the follow instructions:
🚨 Before proceeding, make sure that you have a copy of your Emergency Kit, that you know your account password, and that you're signed into 1Password on another device and see all of your items there.
- Uninstall 1Password following the steps in the support guide linked below, make sure to also follow the steps under "To remove your 1Password data": 1Password - Remove the 1Password app and data.
- Do not use a third-party "app cleaner" or "uninstaller" app to remove 1Password.
- Download and install a fresh copy of 1Password from our website: https://1password.com/downloads/mac/
- Add your account back to the 1Password app.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks for checking that, Sergio_B, and I'm sorry it didn't resolve the performance. To investigate the details of what might be going on, I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from 1Password using these instructions: Send a diagnostics report (Mac).
Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support@1password.com
With your email please include:- A link to this thread: https://www.1password.community/discussions/1password/your-interface-has-become-extremely-slow/159204/

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!

As per your instructions, I have sent the diagnostics report to mailto:support@1password.com, but never received a Support ID number from your BitBot assistant. Were you able to track down my diagnostics report?
