The bug on macOS—still here in 1Password for Mac 8.12.12 (81212044)—is that 1Password seems to use the 'Preferred Language' rather than the Language & Region preferences in System Settings.

My system has English (US) as the primary locale with English (UK) second, because some apps simply don't work with non-US locale. Then my settings are all UK-centric:

  • Region: United Kingdom (dropdown)
  • Measurement system UK (radio)
  • First day of week Monday (dropdown)
  • Date format dd/mm/yyyy (dropdown)

 

This is the date format that 1Password should be using for rendering dates, not whatever the primary locale uses. That's why these preferences exist!

ps. My passport expires on 10/12. Can you guess which month that is?
