CLI integration doesn't seem to work on NixOS after v8.10.16

After discussing with other users on https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/258139, it's apparent that we should raise this issue to the 1Password developers because we can't even begin to debug what is happening — the op tool just doesn't seem to be able to recognize the 1Password app running in the background, and one has to resort to manual sign-in to do anything with it, and that breaks the new shell plugins feature.

Any idea what could be going on? @rprije extracted the failing strace if that could be of some help. (Although it looks quite odd and... would it be an issue with how NixOS organizes files or sandboxes runtime environments for some apps? No clue)
