I have setup 1P CLI on Linux and suddenly I can access my vault using only my user's password

For a bit of context: I am a long-time user of 1P and I have it integrated into multiple workflows on various machines. Recently, I did a fresh install of Arch Linux with KDE on one of said machines and after the complete setup of 1P and 1P CLI (v2.25.0), suddenly I can unlock my vault using the machine's user's root password. This is of course a big problem, but I am not sure exactly why it happened and how to solve it. Any help?
