Moving private vault out of family account
Hi,
I have a private vault set up within a family account run and paid for by my partner.
I only use 1password via the chrome extension/app on Windows.
I only have and use a company laptop. I have permission to use the company laptop also for private matters, but I can't install any local software (I have no admin rights), so installing 1 password 8 app for an export of a vault is not an option.
My partner might have ghosted / left me today and kicked me out of several shared accounts and blocked me on various messenger apps already. I fear that he may either withdraw my access to the 1password family account or cancel his family subscription altogether (downgrade to a personal account for only him), and I may lose access to my private vault which literally holds "half my life info".
Is there a way for me to either
- pull a backup copy of my private vault and save it somewhere locally so I can use this going forward, if sh*t actually hits the fan? I was so far unable to locate an export function in the chrome extension.
or - can I set up a private (non-family) account under a new email address, and proactively migrate my entire vault there before my (ex-)partner kicks me out of his "family" and I lose access?
Apologies in advance if this is a stupid question to you pros out there, or if my question is unclear / lacks vital technical info. I have not had to deal with stuff like this before, my partner has always taken this off my hands. Now I guess I need to learn to swim on my own. I tried search function and googled, but was unable to locate any advice applicable to my case.
