Recovery
Should a user ever lose access to 1Password, they will need to go through recovery to regain access. Account recovery is a process that can be initiated by any user with the Recover Accounts permission (see above), for another user. The user who has lost access will receive a recovery email, and use that to start a secure recovery process, similar to their initial account creation process.
Once they have completed the required steps, all that remains is for a user with the Recover Accounts permission to confirm that recovery, after which the end user will be able to sign in again as normal. (This final confirmation is an additional layer of security to ensure that any recovery attempts can be reviewed and validated before a user is allowed access)
Creating your recovery plan
Now that you know how recovery works, it’s time to create your company’s recovery plan. This support article will guide you through the recommended best practices.
