Thumbnails don't load in Windows "Open" dialog when choosing an icon
Hi team, writing in about an issue we've noticed at work that's driving us nuts. So far, we haven't found any solution and seem to have narrowed it down to 1Password; the only application that seems to have this problem. Even the 1Password web app (when using Edge) doesn't have this problem--it's just the local Windows app. 1Password for Windows 8.11.16 (81116035) When we're selecting an icon for a vault item, the window that it opens doesn't load thumbnails correctly. However, if you browse to the same location using File Explorer, or via any other application's file picker window, the thumbnails load without issue. Again, this issue seems to be limited to 1Password; we haven't been able to reproduce it with file pickers from any other applications. To reproduce: Select an item in the vault. Click "Edit" Click on the icon dropdown > Choose new icon Result: The file picker window appears but the thumbnails in that window never load. Here's an example with a folder of random pictures: Expectation: The thumbnails in the file picker render correctly, and the contents should look a bit like this (so many nice thumbnails!) (this is the file picker from a different program, called Unigram, but Edge's Open dialog looks the same):7Views0likes1CommentProblem with archived Login Items?
Hopefully I can remember exactly what I did... In an attempt to clean up and organize my Login Items I created a Vault that I named "Delete" and moved some Login Items into this Vault. I then moved these Login Items back to the Private Vault and deleted the Delete Vault. So far, so good. I then tagged these Login Items , and several other Login Items, with a tag ("Delete", if memory serves). I then archived all of these Login Items, probably 15-20 of them. However, when I checked the Archive, none of these Login Items appear. In fact, only one of several other Login Items that I had PREVIOUSLY archived is now in the Archive. There is nothing in Recently Deleted. Is there a way to recover these Login Items?7Views0likes1CommentCan 1Password 6,7 & 8 Co-exist ?
I have been running 1Password for many years and have been very happy with it. I am now trying to evaluate an upgrade to 1Password8 to make cross platform work and sharing simpler. I know the migration will be too difficult for other family members and so I was hoping to do all the work on my machine so that I can get their vaults into 8 for them. I think I am good getting my vault into 8 but I am having problems running 6 now and so I can not restore one of their vaults so that it is picked up and converted by 7. I was wondering if anyone else had gone through a similar transition and could offer and advice or steps that may help run multiple versions without them interfering with one another.18Views0likes2CommentsNested folders in department vaults
The issue I am having is that we save a very large number of credentails and details in 1password, and currently, I am creating vaults with names of the department and a subsection name as part of the vault name As an example for illustration only: for HR, I have a vault called HR-References, another vault called HR-AnnualLeave, and another called HR-Attendance But this means we end up with a massively long list of vaults. It would be much much better if we could have nested vaults, or even folder to contains to store all the different sets of data in an organised manner under the one parent vault. so ideally we would have a vault called HR, and then within that vault, either subvaults, or folders/containers that could contain specific items by topic Hope this makes sense. Hi, It would be really useful if the 1Password mobile apps (iOS/Android) could export all vault data. Right now, export is only possible from the desktop app. But I would guess that most people main device is their smartphone, and in case of a server outage or if they lose access to a computer, there’s no way to back up or retrieve their data. I understand the Employee vault is private by design. However, when onboarding new employees it would be extremely convenient for a 1Password admin to create entries in the new employee's private vault. This would be used to provide initial login/password information for the employee's various accounts. Being able to create such entries would make the process much simpler and eliminate the need to use other out-of-band methods to communicate login info securely.Solved17Views2likes2Comments"You can't edit this vault" Why?
I have three vaults: Private, my main vault and Shared. Private is out of date and mostly has the same passwords as my main vault. I moved to the other vault because I can't edit the "Private" vault. Now, passwords from both vaults show up in searches without any indication of which vault they are from. I would like to keep the passwords in case the copy paste operation wasn't fully completed and just make the Private vault inactive as far as search and autofill is considered. Judging by previous threads, there is really nothing to be done about it, the Private vault will continue its zombie existence and all I can do is to delete all its content. I have checked the website and the only thing I can do is mark it "safe for travel". But the previous threads I found were always trying to solve a different problem and no one actually said whether the vault is just there forever unable to change or if there is a way to change it. Am I correct in this assumption that it is immortal and does anyone know why that is? I'm fairly sure this vault was imported from an old local vault, is that it? Second question: is excluding a vault from search possible?27Views0likes3CommentsChange the width of the suggestion popup in a browser
Hi there, Is there a way to change the width of the suggestion popup in a browser when you want to login? We have a lot of passwords for all the sites we've build, and for maintainability we like to name each entry with something like [customername] - [optional websitename] - [logintype]. So it's pretty common to have an item named something like "MyCompany - Webshop - Editor" or "MyCompany - Webshop - Testuser". The problem we're facing is the popup with the login suggestions in the browser. Due to its limited width, we only see "My Company - Webshop...". And have no clue (other than maybe the e-mailaddress) which account is which. Is there a way to increase the width? To force it so show the full name?22Views1like2Comments
