I know that 1Password supports SSH keys, but that only supports storing private keys. Plus, copying the public key copies the ssh public key. I would like a way to store certificate chains. If am encrypting things with my own certs, I need a way to securely store certs, and keys, often together. I would like a way to store as many certs and keys as possible inside of one item. Or maybe, Just one public.crt and private.pem. Either way, This would be super helpful as currently the only other way to store these is in ssh keys for private certs, and secure documents for the public certs. Not very elegant. Also the fact that the secure documents only allow for one doc is not ideal either.2Views0likes0CommentsAllowing custom "Log in with"
Hello Would it be possible to add a way to register a non-standard "OAuth IdP" to a service ? I use from time to time the website https://demiplane.com/, where I am logged via my https://roll20.net/ account. The issue is, Roll20 is not in the restricted list of available services to "Log in with", and thus I always have to remember myself that I have to use that (instead of 1Password offering an helpful reminder to use that login instead) This is my example but I'm sure there are other people with a similar issues with bespoke integrations between services for identity.6Views0likes1CommentPassword entry gets converted to a Login entry
I have a Password entry that I want to create and I want to use an email address as the User Name. There is no web site address associated with Password entry, but upon entering the email address and subsequently saving the item it gets converted from a Password entry to a Login entry. Is there a fix/workaround for this?Solved37Views0likes5CommentsWhat happens to a shared vault if the person who shared it stops sharing?
What happens to a vault of items being shared between two people if the vault's owner should suddenly stop using 1Password for Families? (in the case of stroke, death, cognitive decline, switch to a competitor, change from family to personal plan, etc.) What if the owner or their heirs don't know how or want to continue with 1Password after payments cease? If the owner or its heirs decide to close out the 1Password account and request data to be removed, are other vault participants notified with an advance directive? I tried searching the forum for the answer, but didn't find what I was looking for. Sorry to be macabre, but I'm always thinking about contingency plans, rights of survivorship, digital legacy, etc. As a real-world scenario example, I share a vault with a friend for the purposes of managing a shared project. My friend owns the vault and has shared it with me from their 1Password for Families account. I'm wondering what is the protocol for retaining or taking ownership of the items in that shared vault should my friend no longer be able to administrate their family account?Solved44Views1like3CommentsIs all data encrypted?
Hello! I remember asking a while back regarding the agilekeychain and the opvault vault formats (I think that's what they were called). If I remember correctly, the agilekeychain vault format only encrypted the important data, while the opvault vault format encrypted all data. Does the current vault format encrypt all data as well or only the important data? Thank you!10Views0likes1CommentShare Vaults across accounts [Feature request]
I have a family account that I share with my wife and two kids. My sister (let's caller Alice) has a personal account. I have a friend (let's call him Bob) who has a personal account. Let's call me Charlie. My parents are aging and my sister and I have access to their bank account and are setting up automatic bill pay. I would like to create a vault that Charlie and Alice can both see and edit that contains information about our parents. I know that Charlie can invite Alice to become a member of the Charlie family plan and thereby give access to Alice, but in order to do that Alice must export all her current entries from Alice's-personal-account and then import them into Alice's-account-in-Charlie's-Family. That's a hassle, and it also means that if Alice later marries and starts her own Family account, she'll lose access her parents' information housed in Charlie's Account's vault. Charlie and Bob play squash and use SignUpGenius and a Gmail account to manage a Sunday doubles squash match with invitations that go out weekly to 50 players. Bob travels a bit, and so does Charlie and they switch off the weekly duties of managing the interaction with SignUpGenius and Gmail. Each has their own 1Password account, both have shared the SignUpGenius and Gmail credentials with each other, but both would like to be able to amend them. Neither wants to be a member of the other's "family" for the purposes of 1Password, but they both want read/write access to the shared credentials. Request: please allow Vault sharing across paid 1Password accounts. The sharing should allow transfer of ownership of the Vault from account A to B, from B to C, and from C back to A. The sharing should allow the owner (A) to share with many people (each with their own paid accounts) B, C, D...etc. and should allow A to manage which parties can read, write, etc. the details in the shared vault.Solved335Views1like11Comments1 to 1 Sharing
I often have one-off items to share with people at the company that don't necessitate creating a whole vault for. For example, we use an online form design tool that I want the HR person to have access to, but it's an item that lives in the IT vault. I'm not sharing the entire IT vault, but I also don't want to share the item via a sharing link since that creates a new, unsynchronized item. If I update the password or add a note, I have to remember who I've shared the item with and make sure to send them the updated version. It would be helpful if there was a way to share a single item with another person or group, regardless of which vault it lives in. There could be a specialty vault called "Shared With Me" for anything shared like this. There could also be a category or tag for "Items I've Shared". Think OneDrive/SharePoint file sharing. There are company-wide file buckets, and individual employee file buckets. I can easily share a single, editable file out of either of those places with a person or group.7Views0likes1CommentPossibility to register products with their data
I'd like to be able to register products in 1Password. This could be network equipment or other household appliances. Think of televisions, soundbars, or even larger home installations like mechanical ventilation, solar panels, etc. All these devices have fixed data such as manufacturer, type/model, serial number and warranty etc. I'd like to store this in 1Password so that everything is stored centrally and securely. Could you add this to 1Password? The business version of 1Password has the option to create custom templates, and it would be great to have these in your personal 1Password as well, as that would make the possibilities endless.11Views0likes1CommentWindows 11 setting default password generation
I've figured out how to generate a password in the Windows 11 app and the Firefox extension for the same operating system. I also found the option to set the generation method as a default. What I don't understand is, if I set the default, will that be for all web sites, or just the one I'm working on when I choose the default option? What I would like would be an ability to set a series of defaults for all websites: Smart, if 1Password knows the rules for the website Memorable Password otherwiseSolved53Views0likes7Comments
