Why am I repeatedly asked for the master password when using 1password?
I have just moved from LastPass and am slightly miffed. Chrome keeps asking for my master password when I want to fill in password details on sites. 1Password 7 vs 1Password 8
I have been a 1P user for many years. I have always had the standalone version. It is clear to me that eventually I will either have to adopt the new Agilebits business model and pay an annual fee or I will need to change my password manager because my current version will be either hopelessly outdated or no longer supported or both.. What I am looking for and have not been able to find is an unbiased appreciation of the benefits and disadvantages of changing. Can anyone help? Thank you.
"Unable to save item" - can't save login info for any web site
I just started my 1Password account today. I got the Windows app installed and then installed the browser extensions for Edge, Firefox and Chrome. I started working through some of my web sites to login and save the username/passwords for each into 1Password. I made it through about 9 websites and then started to receive an error ("Unable to save item") for every site I visited. I restarted the application and the browser I was using, and eventually completely rebooted the computer. Nothing has helped and now I can't add any additional logins (even for this site). 1Password Version: 8.4.1 Extension Version: 2.1.4 OS Version: Windows 10Where is the password generator?
The password generator used to have a right click option on the 1Password notification tray icon. This was useful as an IT admin having to constantly generate passwords fast. I am not sure why it got removed from this right click one and I can't seem to find it in a quick manner inside the app itself either - only the web page https://1password.com/landing/password-generator/ _1Password Version:8.5.0-57 _Extension Version:Not working _OS Version:Windows 10 21H2

Don't understand why I am getting this message?? What does it mean and how did it happen?. I have 1Password installed on my laptop and Android phone and on my husband's laptop and Android phone . . . I get the message on my laptop . . . thanks.
1Password for Windows on Arm (Preview)

Hello all! It's an exciting time for Windows PCs with Microsoft's big announcements this week of the new Surface line, Copilot+ PCs, and, of course, the availability of devices based on the speedy, Arm-based Snapdragon X Elite processor. Not to be left out of the fun, we'd like to share with you the first preview release of 1Password for Windows on Arm. 💪🥳 Of course, it's already possible to install and use 1Password on Arm-based Windows PCs, but until now the app has run in a slower x86 emulation mode. This is our first Arm-native build of the app, which means it is able to take full advantage of the new silicon. Early indications are that 1Password for Windows on Arm is blazing fast (and we haven't even got our hands on the new Copilot+ PCs — yet!) Things to know about the preview release This preview build for Windows is based on the current stable channel release of 1Password (version 8.11). We are calling it a "preview" for three reasons: We have done limited testing on real hardware outside of virtual machines, as the new Copilot+ PCs have only just been announced. If 1Password is already installed on your PC, you'll need to uninstall the app before installing the Arm preview. Your accounts will transfer over to the preview build, but I strongly recommend setting up a recovery code before uninstalling the app to be safe. This build of the app app will not update automatically — you will need to check back here for announcements and future releases. Apart than these considerations, the build is a complete experience, and you should expect to find the full level of functionality that's already available in 1Password for Windows. When using "Use the Trusted Platform Module with Windows Hello", 1Password prompts with a security warning. - How can another app gain access to 1Password with this setting? - Is there a way to retrieve the applications which have access to Windows Hello?
