1P stopped working with Vivaldi Android
For some reason, 1P stopped working with Vivaldi Android - meaning, it recognized the input form, tries to fill it in, but nothing happens.
Not sure if it's because of a version update by 1P, or by Vivaldi.
This used to work fine.
Vivaldi version = 7.0.3505.16.5
1Password Version: 8.10.56
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: Android 15
Browser: Not Provided

I can answer that for my oneplus 13 phone. It is not only vivaldi. Chrome or even normal apps have many times auto fill malfuctiining. There are times that u get the suggestions but tapping on them does not fill the fields. Other times u don't get the suggestions at all. When I do have the issue of suggestions can't be filled, I just kill the app from recents and restart it. Then auto fill works.
Also, different issue. Many times, 1password aska for password instead of fingerprint. And many times I have to force stop 1pass and restart it to get it fixed. Tbh it has many random bugs that weren't there a couple years ago. I think best platform for it is probably OSX. Android has issues

Any update on this? It's still happening regularly. Edit--I'll try out this experimental fix from Google from this other thread https://www.1password.community/discussions/1password/ongoing-autofill-issues-on-android/159059/replies/163948

I'm sorry that you're still seeing issues with 1Password in Vivaldi. Can you let me know the current behaviour that you're seeing and on which website? Are you also seeing issues in other browsers like Chrome or Firefox?
I just tested filling on our test website, autofill.me, using Vivaldi on a Google Pixel and filling appears to be working fine for me.

1P_Dave I believe it is resolved with the experimental fix from Google from this other thread Ongoing Autofill Issues on Android | 1Password Community
I turned it on last week when I edited my post, and don't remember encountering this issue since then.
As noted elsewhere in this thread, the autofill always worked when first starting / restarting the browser. But after some amount of time/use/something, autofill would stop actually filling anything into the webpage after selecting the 1Password login info.

I can confirm that uninstalling and reinstalling didn't fix anything.
It works with Chrome. So it's defo something between 1password and Vivaldi.

I'm sorry that a reinstall didn't help. I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Android device:

Fwiw I've been talking to 1Password support for several weeks now and keep finding new issues with this. Multiple different issues with various browsers including Chrome, Brave, Vivaldi, Samsung Internet, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Opera.
The support person continues being very thorough responding to each of my messages, which is awesome and impressive to me. I'm very glad that paying for a 1Password family subscription is getting me this very high level of support.
It seems this is all relatively new functionality, so bugs throughout the ecosystem are not unexpected and they appreciate all the feedback so they can work on addressing all the issues.
For example Chrome just added autofill support for 3rd-party services (setting "Autofill using another service" which is disabled by default) in v135 from just 2 months ago!!!

Thanks.
hopefully they can work on a fix soon. Very annoying to have to copy/paste password.

1Password's email reply:
From looking at the diagnostic report, there is an error log appearing indicating an AppError occurred during autofill. When this has occurred for some other users, uninstalling and reinstalling the app resolved the issue.
As such I would first like to ask if you could uninstall and reinstall the 1Password for Android app to see if the issue persists?
If the issue persists after doing a re-install please include a new diagnostic report from the re-install as well.
After uninstalling and reinstalling yesterday, I have the same issue again today. The login credentials to 1Password community wouldn't autofill. Clicking my credentials in the autofill popup both above keyboard and on webpage resulted in no credentials being filled.
Submitted another diagnostic report, and received the additional tracking ID PCE-44147-847 (the first tracking ID was #CBA-16824-115).
Additionally, I found a specific site which will only save passkeys to Google from my phone, not to 1Password. The offender is Home Depot, which is handy because I believe 1Password or Google or anyone should be able to easily make an account their for themselves from their Android phone to reproduce the issue for themselves. https://www.homedepot.com/myaccount/security

For me it's not only vivaldi tbh. Many many apps have issue and I have to restart them. So it should be something with 1password (or android auto fill). Oxygen OS here (latest stable on 12r)

I have the same issue. 1Password updated. Vivaldi latest version also.
hopefully we get some updates soon as it's very annoying.

Google Play says I've already had that update version 8.10.74 since Apr 29. I submitted the diagnostics, reference CBA-16824-115 support ticket ID

Hello classz, nukmicah, and jimger! 👋
I'm sorry that you're running into issues with autofill in Vivaldi on your Android devices. Can you update to 1Password for Android version 8.10.74 and then try to reproduce the issue again? Our developers have released some improvements to autofill in this version: How to keep 1Password up to date
If you still see the issue using this version of 1Password then I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Android device:

Yeah the Android operating system, keyboard app, 1Password, and the destination app all have to work together. Apparently it's a house of cards since it fails far too frequently.
I suppose the phone manufacturer may play some part too, I do know Samsung does a lot of customization of Android. But my impression was that's mostly a skin; I wouldn't think core functionality like autofill would be affected by anything Samsung does.
Although Samsung does have their own password manager, and I remember one time an app or website was trying to save a passkey, and it insisted on trying to use either the Samsung or Google passkey vault, and would never give me the option to save in the 1Password vault. So I guess Samsung can cause some issues of their own, too.

Yeah, except that also does it on chrome and other apps too. Not sure if it id 1pass or android but sth is really bad...
