1P8 does not login after autofilling

In 1Password 7, I could autofill a set of credentials and the site's "login" button would be activated automatically. This worked on nearly every site - banking, healthcare, entertainment, social media.... you name it.

After updating to 1Password 8, I haven't seen this happen on any of the pages that I've autofilled. It's a small thing, but it's very noticeable. It's an extra click to log in everywhere.

I've been browsing and searching here, hoping to find some mention of this. I've seen a A LOT of other complaints about 1P8 (some I agree with) and dozens of use-cases that I'd never considered, but nothing about automatically logging in. It's surprising and confusing. Was something about my installation of 1P7 wacky, resulting in a "feature" that nobody else had? Is this an obvious setting in 1P8 that I've somehow missed?

    Hi @OGMatt:

This was a function of our older 1Password classic extension, not the newer 1Password in the browser extension. As it currently stands, when filling on Windows, you'll need to manually choose "Log in" or Submit.
