Windows bug ? 1pw bug?
Hi Forum,
some more details:
- I need to wear my AppleWatch to get the AppleWatch logo presented. If the Mac (a MBP Intel 2017) does not recognise the AppleWatch, the fingerprint icon is presented by 1P8.
- The more relevant special configuration to trigger the bug might be that I use an external monitor and the MBP lid is closed. 1P7 did recognise this and told that one needs to type the pwd because the lid is closed (and the fingerprint sensor unavailable).
- The system settings allow the AppleWatch to support login.
Hope this helps to reproduce.

Hi @merlec92, thanks for writing in.
To use face unlock, 1Password requires devices to use Google's native Biometric framework as well as use strong encryption. On the majority of Android devices, face unlock is considered a "weak" biometric factor. This is due in part to the fact that most Android devices do not have IR or depth sensing cameras to scan facial biometry. Without that, a photo or video could trick biometric unlock. To clarify, many devices have a facial scanner, but may not support Google's native Biometric framework as well as support strong encryption.
If fingerprint unlock is unavailable, one option would be to extend the Auto-Lock on Exit interval from Settings > Security. After extending that interval you can open 1Password with your account password and leave it running in the background. Until that interval ends, 1Password is locked, closed completely or your device restarts, you can Autofill and reopen the app without your password.
