Hi,

In release note of latest iOS version of 1password 7 there is a « new feature » :

[NEW] 1Password will now redirect onepassword://urls to 1Password 8.

What does is mean for customers that do not use or do not plan to use 1password8 ?

I often use the share password entry feature of 1password (7) using email or iMessage. The way it works is by generating an url starting with onepassword:// that allows the receiver to import the entry in his own vault buy clicking the generated link.

What happen then ? Will it still call 1password 7 to import or are we going to suffer a regression? How to import shared entries then ?

[UPDATE] : finally I updated and was able to test. Seems there is no change, at least if only the version 7 is installed.
