4 years ago1Password 8: Quick Access Feedbacks
Hi, unfortunately, I did not participate in the beta test for 1Password 8 on Mac.
Is it possible to have a Password Generator in Quick Access? It would be great if I can generate passwords on the fly without opening my browser extension or the app itself.
Thanks! :)

Hey @rusteze:
There currently isn't any way of linking an app other than using Autofill, but I'll share your feedback with the team.
Hi mickael:
Thanks for sharing! I've added your feature request to a an internal discussion for changing Quick Access's keyboard shortcuts.

Thanks Jack_P_1P that works in Finder so it helps. I see it adds a section called LINKED APPS.
is it possible to link apps manually instead of individually Auto Fill for each item?I realise this is an edge case but this doesn't work for an app running in Wine (https://github.com/nrlquaker/winbox-mac) which used to work in 1Password 7 with URL

1P_Tommy Yeah, that's waht I am trying to do now.
Search in Quick Access => select entry => cmd O => down arrow to select field => enter to copy value => esc to close quick access
At least, I don't need to use the trackpad anymore. But sadly, for an unknown reason, the focus moves to 1password main app sometimes after using cmd O and I need to use the trackpad to select the quick access.
As another improvement, it would be great if we could personalize the shortcuts for copy username/password/opening window. Before 1Password8, I was used to use a custom quick access I developed myself base on Alfred and my 1password cli tools. Personaly, I prefer Enter for copying password and Ctrl-C for copying username and Ctrl+Shift+C for copying 2factor auth code.

Hi @rusteze:
If you'd like to link those credentials to Finder, use Quick Access to search for them while Finder is the active app, then choose Autofill. You'll be asked if you want to fill once, or fill once and update the Login. After updating the Login item, they'll be shown as suggestions.

1Password 8 no longer seems to provides 1P7 functionality to link an entry to a mac app using the
app://
URL.
E.g. I store disk encryption keys with urlapp://com.apple.finder
which quick look would then bring up as suggested if I opened it while in Finder

Yes, but shortcuts to do the copy / paste of the individual fields would be vastly superior interaction, especially for those of us who attempt to minimize the interaction with a mouse/track-pad.

As a possible workaround, can you open the item in a new window and copy it from there? (Command - O) I realize this is not exactly what you are looking for. More clicks and all, but it might be a possible alternative. That said, I figure you may already have something you are using currently.

Any updates on adding Copy UserName / Copy Password shortcuts to server secrets ? It doesn't feel as huge improvement request.
Even, having copy username/password on server entries should have been done before web entries, because web entries are mainly used in the browser with already the autocomplete feature, while server entries are used mainly in the terminal where we don't have any autocomplete feature.
Hope it will be implemented soon.

are you guys serious that votes have to be cast on critical missing features from v7 that dont exist in v8? v8 should be pulled and removed from download until its ready for public usage by paying customers
