1password consistently fills in old zip code in addresses

I have a strange problem that I've (so far) been unable to resolve, so I'm looking for some additional avenues of investigation to see if I can fix this problem.

Background:  Two years ago, my wife and I moved from Colorado to Idaho.  Obviously, this caused a change of address, including zip code.  We went through a massive effort to change our address on-line everywhere we could think of, and since then, we've been changing our address as we stumble across places we missed.

One of the places where we change our address (including zip code) was in the mailing address for Discover card as saved in 1password.

But ever since we moved, when 1password goes to fill in our mailing address for Discover card it always uses our old zip code.

Here are some additional details:

  • It does not do that for the other credit cards
  • It does not do that for addresses (e.g., when filling in my mailing address, not the credit card's mailing address).
  • It happens in all browsers where the 1password extension (and only the 1password extension) has been installed.
  • I haven't tried clearing cookies.  I probably should.
  • It happens on both my laptop and my wife's (completely separate computers, Windows 10 and Windows 11, respectively).
  • I think it also happens on our phones (Google Pixel 7a), but I'm not entirely sure about that.
  • Searching for the old zip code in the search bar yields nothing.
  • Looking through "Archive" and "Recently Deleted" yields nothing.

It's not that often that we need to fill in a fresh credit card, but it happened again last night and so I thought I'd see if any of you all have experienced (and solved!) this problem, or if there are other suggestions of things to try.

  • Hello johnhroe! 👋

I'm sorry for the delay in responding. When you search for the zip code, are you using the desktop app to search or the browser extension? The desktop app has a more powerful search tool that searches through all fields in an item whereas 1Password in the browser is more limited:

If you still don't see the ZIP code after searching for it in the desktop app then can you tell me which browser you're using on your Windows PC?
