1password doesn't work with Brave browser on iPad with magic keyboard active

if I open a login in brave with magic keyboard active 1password doesn't show up and there is no possibilty to activate 1password for fiulling the credentials. With magic keyboard inactive everything ...

Thank you for your reply. I'll append two screenshots where youncan see what I get with and without Magic Keyboard active. IOS and Brave are both the latest versions.

With magic keyboard inactiv, I get the "Passwörter" info at top of the virtual keyboard and that opens 1password.

 

Here you see, that there isn't anything to activate 1Password

Hi Dieter59,

1P_Dave is on vacation, but I also have an iPad, Brave, and a Magic Keyboard 😄 A few basics I want to check on:

  • A new version of 1Password was released today, 8.11.0. Could you install it and see if you're still seeing the same behavior?
  • Which iPad model are you using?
  • Is this behavior of 1Password with the Magic Keyboard in use consistent across websites?

    Sorry for the late response!

    The new 1password release didn't change anything. I'm using an iPad pro 12.9 5th generation. And yes the behaviour is consistent across all websites I tested. And I use the latest iPadOS 18.5

      I'm sorry that you're still seeing the issue. Can you check the following: 

      1. Open the iPadOS Settings app.
      2. Tap General.
      3. Tap Keyboard. 


      Are any of the options on this page turned off? If they are then try turning them on and then reloading the page in Brave to see if that helps. 

      If you still see the issue then since the AutoFill prompt is generated by iOS itself, and not 1Password, I recommend that you reach out to Apple Support so that they can take a look to see why you're not seeing the AutoFill prompt in apps like Brave when using your Magic Keyboard. 

      Let me know if I can provide any other information from the 1Password end of things.

        You were right, besides several other options, the option "shortcuts" was disabled. After enabling that option, 1password works as expected. Thanks a lot for the hint. I already was in panic  I would have to contact Apple, who are well known for their non existing support ;)
