1Password for Microsoft Entra ID could be registered in 1Password or not
Hi all,
I'm trying to register a passkey in 1Password for Microsoft Entra ID, but I haven't been successful so far.
Has anyone been successful?
Take care.

It does suggest Microsoft is investigating and interested https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/authentication/how-to-enable-passkey-fido2
"Microsoft Entra ID currently supports device-bound passkeys stored on FIDO2 security keys and in Microsoft Authenticator. Microsoft is committed to securing customers and users with passkeys. We are investing in both synced and device-bound passkeys for work accounts."

Is there a timeframe on Passkeys working in Azure/Microsoft accounts? I've been tracking it for over a year, they still don't work.
Thanks

I recommend reaching out to Microsoft to share your feedback with them so that they know that you'd like to use passkeys in third-party password managers like 1Password.

Hello 1P_Dave!
Thank you for your reply. I understand a passkey for Microsoft Entra ID can't be stored in 1Password now. I hope Microsoft will support third party password manages in future.
Take care.

Hello TakeshiSuyama! 👋
Thanks for reaching out. It looks like Microsoft Entra ID currently only supports "device-bound passkeys stored on FIDO2 security keys and in Microsoft Authenticator" and not passkeys stored in other solutions like 1Password. You can read more here:
- Enable passkeys for your organization (preview) - Microsoft Entra ID | Microsoft Learn
- How to enable passkeys in Microsoft Authenticator for Microsoft Entra ID (preview) - Microsoft Entra ID | Microsoft Learn
I hope that helps. 🙂

Just reading your links it looks like 1password doesn't support attestation but other solutions like "Samsung pass" do: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/authentication/concept-fido2-hardware-vendor#fido2-security-keys-eligible-for-attestation-with-microsoft-entra-id
