I have installed 1Password on a work laptop and this required my Secret Key, since it was a new device.

3 years agoI found detailed Uninstall instructions in the Knowledgebase, which is very helpful.
I guess, then, my question boils down to the Secret Key, and whether it is best practice to regenerate the Secret Key when returning a work device.
I realise the Secret Key, by itself, is not enough for a potential attacker to be able to exploit. I have read that on Windows, the Secret Key is "lightly obfuscated". Nevertheless, we still want to keep that secret, as far as possible.
If regenerating the Secret Key is advisable in this scenario, I'm also interested to know if there are particular consequences of the Secret Key changing.
