1Paswword8 - impossible to generate a new password on the fly

1Password Mini experience in v8 is awful. I used to be able to search items and generate new passwords on the fly.
Now I have to open up the whole app to just create a new password.

Also, when you open an item via the new search functionality - you can't edit the item in the mini window!!! IT's completely ludicrous design - you used to be able to edit the item in 1Password Mini when anchoring item. Now, cmd+E doesn't even work and you have to re-open the item in the main app just add a note.

Utterly frustrated by the new version and wish you'd never made the changes

    Thanks David - but logins for databases don't work in the browser - the mini worked brilliantly and they've broken everything intuitive and easy to use about the App

    I share your disappointment with the browser extension, which is a poor substitute for the Mini, but you can use it to generate passwords, as discussed here: https://1password.community/discussion/comment/649410#Comment_649410

    welcome to the community :) many of us are frustrated and we voiced exactly those concerns MONTHS ago when CEO hyped v8 publicly. there has been no forward movement on critical issues and new ones are popping up daily. they had 22 beta releases in 2022 so far and majority of issues are not solvable due to their choice of technology.
