2 factor Authentication Setup

When I follow setup steps and get to the scanning of the barcode with Authenticator I get a message; "Choose a different name for your new account" - "you have an existing 1Password account for ...".

I don't get a six-digit authentication code as expected.

    I'm sorry that you're running into an issue when setting up two-factor authentication. So that I can better understand the situation can you tell me the following: 

    1. Are you setting up two-factor authentication for your 1Password account? Or for another account?
    2. Is the error coming from 1Password itself? Or from another authenticator app? If it's the latter then which authenticator app are you using?
    3. Can you post a screenshot of the error message?
