Adding 2FA to Login
Odds I'm not doing this right and don't see the options to add 2FA to several of my current Login Profiles. Now that Microsoft is destined to dump their authenticator at the end of July, I have se...

How to enable TOTP type 2FA/MFA depends on the web site or service, however in all cases you should end up with either a QR code or a string of digits which you add to 1Password.
Imagine that 1password.community offered this basic modern account security and that in Security & Account there was a 2FA section and that after enabling it and downloading your recovery codes, you had a QR code and a string of numbers.
- Open the 1Password client
- Select the Login item for 1password.community
- Click 🖉 Edit
- Click + add more
- Select One-Time Password
- Either click the QR code can button or paste the digits into the one-time password code field
- Click [Save]
- Provide the freshly generated code from the 1Password client to the web site
This step-by-step process should work for any site or service to which you are adding TOTP for an existing Login item using the client.
When 1Password knows that TOTP is available, the client will show a banner with a link to instructions on the web site which may work.
If you believe that you are following the instructions for adding TOTP for a specific web site or service and are encountering a problem, then identify the site or service, describe what you did, what happened when you did it, and how that differed from what you wanted or expected.
MyChart platforms can vary by instance and I've only seen them use codes sent by telephone or email, not TOTP. I've not used GoodSync, but their instructions look straightforward but fail to explicitly address the "..by Authenticator" option shown. We don't know about your Synology or home NAS profiles or local medical website.
