Always show password doesn't affect edit mode

The Always Show password Setting doesn't affect the password being revealed when in Edit mode. So you see the password, you click Edit and it turns to dots, you tap the field and see the password again.

This doesn't seem a very good workflow, and I see that there are two year old comments about this that were never resolved. Any chance it can be fixed?

    Thank you for reporting the issue and I'm sorry for the inconvenience. You're correct that there's an issue where the Always show passwords and full credit card numbers toggle only applies when viewing an item and not when editing an item.

    I do have some good news to share! We're currently testing a fix in the nightly version of 1Password. The team hopes to release the fix to the beta and then the production version as soon as possible. Here's a sneak peek:

    Thank you for your patience and understanding. Our developers have released a fix for the issue in the latest version of 1Password:

    Concealed fields (like password and credit card) are now shown in edit mode when “Always show passwords and full credit card numbers” is turned on in Settings > Security.
