Android app showed black screen after filling password
Continuing a previous post not accepting replies.
I experienced the 1Password app screen going completely black and Android warning that the app was unresponsive.
I was able to get things going again by clearing both the cache and the app data. That did require setting up the app again, but was able to do that using another computer showing the QR code and my normal master password.

The 1Password application on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, running One UI 7, is experiencing intermittent unresponsiveness and crashes following the most recent update obtained from the official Play Store.
Specs:
* Device: Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, official ROM, not rooted.
* Application: 1Password, fully updated via the Play Store.
* Issue: The application prompts for biometric or password authentication, accepts the input, and then displays a black screen with an "Application Not Responding" error, offering options to wait or close the app.
* Troubleshooting: Clearing cache and data, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the application, have not resolved the issue.
- Workaround: The application functions correctly when accessed through the autofill feature.
please help with this issue

Hi roidbsx! Thanks for letting us know 1Password has been crashing for you. My apologies for any trouble here. I suspect the behaviour you've encountered is related to what's described in this thread so I've merged your post here.
Could you review my colleague Dave's post, and email us with the information he mentioned? Thanks again!

Hello amcca! 👋
I'm sorry that you ran into an issue where 1Password for Android crashes after being unlocked. Our development team is actively investigating the issue. I'm glad that you were able to workaround the crash.
For anyone else who is still running into the issue, our development team would find it helpful to know if the issue occurs when unlocking with your account password instead of using biometrics. If possible, a screen recording of the crash would also be helpful. Follow these steps:
- Start screen recording before unlocking 1Password: Take a screenshot or record your screen on your Android device
- Unlock 1Password as you would normally.
- Continue recording until the crash occurs.
- Save the screen recording.
Send an email to support@1Password.com and include a link to this thread. After emailing in, you'll receive a reply from BitBot, our friendly robot assistant with a Support ID that looks something like [#ABC-12345-678]. Post that here, and I'll be able to locate your message and send you a secure upload link for the screen recording.-Dave
