1Password 8 for Mac isn't currently available in the Mac App Store. Instead, you can download the app directly through our website: https://1password.com/downloads
I don't have any updates to share regarding the Mac App Store at the moment.
I've got a couple of clients who purposely only install apps from the Mac App Store, and are thus still stuck on 1Password 7.
Would you mind sharing some of the reasons why your clients only install from the Mac App Store? I would be happy to pass along their use cases to the team internally. 🙂
