Any way of removing duplicates after a migratin?
Hello! I migrated my old data from local vaults to a subscription service and the importing happened twice and created duplicated entries for every single item in my vault.
IS there any way in 1password8 to remove duplicates?
Thank you!
EDIT: I figured it out: it actually imported it to different vaults so removing the newer one did it :).

Please just let us view, sort, and bulk-select any/all duplicate fields in the data file. Why do you need hidden fields? Make it simple, use the Apple-standard file window.
If for some reason you don't want to make this ability generally available, make it available to those of us who have this problem. If there are some fields you want to keep hidden, at least let us work with the field that caused this problem. Since your develpers subsequently added a tag upon import intended to prevent the problem when switching from standalone to subscription, you already know which field is problematic.

It's OK, we're happy to wait a few more years for this very simple request. /s
(I know it's not your fault, and I don't wish to slay the messenger, but it is maddening when the Executive Team has support make the same assurances, but no fix, year after year. It's been six years so far.

Hello spinoza,
The customer support team is continuing cast votes on behalf of customers with new requests for a duplicate clean-up tool, but I have no additional news to share at this time.
We appreciate your patience while the product team continues to look in to the best way to handle/implement such a feature request.

Just updating to note that nearly another year has passed, with no progress whatsoever on this issue.

Hi @AdamSaltman, very sorry to hear of this situation. Sure, I'll be happy to add your comments here to the discussion, and cast a vote for a duplicate-handling feature on your behalf. Done!

1P_PeterG can you please add me to that conversation, too? I just re-imported 1200 passwords by mistake, and the thought of dragging through my vault manually is mildly nauseating. Thanks!

1Password has had this problem for many years, since version 6, and they refuse to fix it. A search of the forums will show a lot of history. Plus I have years of begging them to fix it.
Please add my name to that conversation.

Hi Qutrit, thanks for letting us know about this, and sorry for the initial trouble during that import process. It's wonderful to learn that it was a quick fix.
We do have an outstanding discussion around how to better handle duplicate issues, so if a solution that seeks out and handles duplicates (perhaps through archive or delete?) sounds like it would be useful to you, I'm happy to add your name to that conversation. Let us know! 😃
