App unusable for minutes if Apple Watch unlock fails

If the Apple Watch unlock fails (which it frequently does), the app just shows the spinner with no way of cancelling the attempt, and no way of manually entering the password instead. You have to sit for 1-2 minutes doing nothing for the attempt to timeout.

Extension Version: 2.3.3
OS Version: 12.4 (21F79)

    Thanks for the additional information @ludvigeriksson.

    This sounds like you are running into a bug that I recently fixed. This should behave much better for you in the upcoming 8.7.1 stable release (out very soon). If you are comfortable running the beta channel, you can skip the wait as the fix should already be live in 8.8.0.

    Please let us know if you are still encountering this issue after updating.

    Yes, it’s in clamshell mode. Works well with Apple Watch unlock for the computer itself and other system prompts though.

    Thank you kindly for the report. There are a couple of potential issues with Apple watch that are being worked on. Are you using your Mac in clamshell mode by chance?
