Autofill on tablet working correctly
The 1password autofill function is not working on my tablet. On July 22nd I received an email with steps necessary to keep autofill working on Chrome. I followed the steps as best as I could. Not all...

Thanks for following up with us LearningToFly. I'm sorry to hear you're still seeing filling issues on your tablet.
The autofill works on some websites. Other websites the suggestion shows up above the keyboard but when I tap on it and open 1password, select the appropriate login, it does not autofill.
From your description, it sounds like you may be impacted by a Chromium issue. At the moment a fix for this is available in Chrome as a "flag", which are features that are being tested. We anticipate seeing this fix implemented in the browser in future updates, but if you'd like to address it now you can try the steps I've shared below.
First, please make sure 1Password is set up for Autofill in Chrome:
- Open Chrome.
- Tap the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner > Settings > Autofill Services
- Tap Autofill using another service, then tap Restart Chrome when prompted.
Next you can enable the temporary flag that activates the fix:
- Open Chrome/Brave.
- Type "chrome://flags" into the address bar and open the page.
- Search for "Android autofill".
- Under "Android autofill updates context for WebContents" (#autofill-update-context-for-web-contents), choose Enabled
- Tap Relaunch when prompted.
For the fix to work within custom browser tabs (when sign in pages in apps are opened within a browser window in the app), please ensure Chrome is set as your default browser.
Let us know how that goes or if you have any questions!
Other websites it does not even offer any suggestions.
For a few reasons, autofill may not work on some websites regardless of your settings. In some cases a website may not have enough contextual clues for a password manager to determine it should offer autofill, in other cases 1Password may fail to detect a sign in form, and there are other causes as well.
If you've had the opportunity to adjust your settings with the steps I shared above, and are still seeing consistent filling issues on certain websites, could you share a couple with me here?
Thanks again!

@ 1P_Timothy thank you for these suggestions. I had already done #1 when I got the email in June. But I just did the temporary flag solution you suggested in #2. The website I mentioned above Is working along with one other that previously did not work. (Ironically, this one.) So far so good. I will keep you posted with results from other websites. Thanks!
