3 years agoFace recognition in 1Password for Android requires "Class 3" facial recognition hardware, like that found on the Pixel 4, which is similar to the Face ID camera arrays on iPhones and iPads, that work by building a 3D model of your face and storing it securely.
Although some Android devices might support face unlock for the device itself (like my Pixel 7 Pro), that functionality isn't "passed through" to other apps like 1Password unless the facial recognition hardware is Class 3.
Using my Pixel 7 Pro as an example, I can unlock it using face unlock, but 1Password for Android can only "see" the fingerprint sensor.
Hope that helps explain it, but I'll be here if you have any questions. :)
