Brave browser, autofill & Brave shields
I started to use the Brave browser on my desktop computer and noticed with a few websites I wasn't getting the 1password login dropdown, either automatically or by clicking the 1password icon in the login field. I have the browser extension and desktop app installed. If I click on autofill from the extension it works as expected. I found this solution: The Brave browser has an option called Brave shields, when I turn this off for the website in question then the login dropdown appears.

Dave, With regard to the Brave android version, I stopped using it for a while. I reinstalled and am trying it out again. Seems like I get an "open 1Password" prompt now on top of the keyboard so that looks to work, somewhat. With other browsers I would get the login listed on top of the keyboard. Also on sites I use a Passkey, this doesn't work. Thanks, EC

Thanks for the reply. It looks like our development team is currently aware of an issue suggestions won't appear directly above the keyboard, just a "Open 1Password" prompt.
So that our team can collect a little more information from you, especially since you're only seeing the issue in some browsers and not others, please send an email to support@1password.com and include a link to this thread. After emailing in, you'll receive a reply from BitBot, our friendly robot assistant with a Support ID that looks something like [#ABC-12345-678]. Post that here, and I'll be able to locate your message and make sure it's gotten to the right place.

Dave, email sent. I also mentioned in the email that Passkeys do not work.
Thanks, EC

Dave, for the desktop browser I see autofill works as you mentioned. For the Android version, 8.11.8, I still see an issue with autofill at least on those 2 websites using the Brave browser. Doesn't make a difference with the Brave shield up or down. I tested those 2 sites using the Chrome browser and autofill works as expected.
Thanks,Ed

I'm sorry for the delay here. Since you see different behaviour in Chrome and Brave, can you try the following steps in Brave:
- Open the Brave app.
- Tap the ellipsis and choose Settings.
- Scroll down and tap Autofill services.
- Choose Autofill using another service, then tap Restart Brave.
Does that help or do you see the same issue?-Dave

Dave, I had the setting as shown in your message and was still having autofill issues on some sites. I stopped using Brave on my phone but still use it on my desktop.
Thanks, Ed

Hi Dave, So far chewy.com and caremark.com were giving me issues until I turned off the Brave shield. I haven't added any other filters . I'll reply here if or when I come across any other websites.

Thanks for those examples. I've just tested using the latest version of 1Password in the browser and I'm not seeing an issue on chewy.com, can you update and see if you still see an issue: How to keep 1Password up to date in your browser
Regarding caremark.com I do see that 1Password isn't properly suggesting a saved Login item when Brave Shields are up or down and I've filed an internal work item for our developers to look into this further.

Hello AerospaceEd! 👋
Thank you for sharing your workaround! It sounds like there's some sort of filter that is interfering with 1Password. Out of curiosity, have you enabled or added any other filters from the default ones here: brave://settings/shields/filters
And are you able to share any of the websites that you've run into issues on?
