bug: IOS 8.12.0 forgets Autofill collection when searching any other collection from 1P Home screen
To replicate:
- In the IOS app, navigate Settings > AutoFill > Show filling suggestions from ...
- Choose a Collection that has already been configured.
- Return to Home
- Tap the Collection selector in the top left and choose the Account (not any collection)
- Try to autofill from another app, e.g. a web browser on IOS. Passwords from outside the selected Autofill collection are suggested.
- Return to the IOS app. Navigate Settings > AutoFill > Show filling suggestions from ...
- The Account option has replaced the chosen Collection.
Expected: The chosen Collection to use for AutoFill stays selected.
This has been happening for several months at least so it probably exists on older versions, this was the first time I was able to identify the problem being switching collections on the Home screen, for example to search for passwords saved outside of the default Autofill Collection. I see threads about this in the supprot community that go back several years. I'm not sure if their related, and I'm done dignosing this.
I also notice that Early Earl Pro (Launch Special) no longer have access to support. This marks the end of my relationship with 1Password so I don't really care if you fix the autofill suggestions issue or not. Death by 1000 cuts. I will not be participating in your peer support community or returning to this post to provide more information. I strongly encourage everyone else to find another pw manager as well. It's been a terrible race to the bottom.

I'm sorry that the "Show filling suggestions from" setting is resetting back to your 1Password account from a specific collection in the 1Password for iOS app. This is an issue that we have received other reports for, and one that I can intermittently reproduce on my own device. An issue is open with our development team to investigate this further and develop a fix.
I also notice that Early Earl Pro (Launch Special) no longer have access to support.

I have a similar issue, maybe they are related: autofill selection resets to Account level instead of my chosen collection. For me it happens 100 % of the time if I reboot my phone, on two different iPhones. I can’t make the autofill selection reset following your steps though.
Specs: 1Password 8.12 on iOS 18, individual subscription, no shared vaults, Safari extension not enabled. The issue is not new for me, it has happened for at least a year I think.
I have also searched this forums but found only threads about the main view selection being reset. But I don’t see the reset there, only the autofill selection. I haven’t bothered to write here since the team continues to not fixing basic things like date/time format, text in notes being invisible until you swipe halfway to list view, and now the newest issue with opening items from the Recently Deleted showing just a blank page (sorry for off-topic)
