Can't clear search using the keyboard
Once you've searched for an item and chosen to show all matches, there's no way to clear the search using the keyboard. Steps to reproduce:
- Open the main 1Password app
- Enter a search
- Select "Show all matching items"
- Result: you'll see matching results, and there's then no way to clear your search using the keyboard. The search field is empty, so you can't delete your search query, or hit [esc]. You have to use the mouse to click the little "x".

Hi folks,
For now, if you're in the search field, you can tab a few times to the close button in the item list's search header.
Another way to reset if you're viewing an item is to press
Command/Control + F
to go into the search field and typeall items
to switch back to All Items list.As Jack mentioned, we'll investigate for a better shortcut to clear this from anywhere.

sadly usability was not an option when creating v8 :(

Additionally the clear button on macOS and iOS is on the right hand side not on the left side.

Great post. This bothers me as well. Users should definitely be able to clear search via keyboard, and I hope the team implements this soon.
But also, the search UI is so strange overall. There have been frequent requests in these forums to have "Show all matching items" be the default behavior when hitting Enter, rather than requiring CMD-Enter. And then why is the search term not displayed in the search bar when the results are shown, like happens in every other app I can think of? And why is there no way to sort the search results? (This too has been discussed elsewhere in the forums.) It's a disorienting user experience in many ways.
