Can't select SOME items from the item list in the Safari extension
The safari extension is not allowing some items to be selected in the items list. Using mouse or keyboard fails to select only some items in the list.
1Password browser extension (Safari) 8.11.12.27
MacOS 26.0.1
EDIT: I found the bug. Any item that has Related Items isn't selectable in the Safari extension. Items with Attached Files still work as expected. Only the items with Related Items are not selectable in Safari extension.
Issue:
Any item that has links to Related Items cannot be selected in the safari extension window.
Environment:
Macbook M4
1Password for Mac 8.11.12 (81112027)
Safari extension 8.11.12.27
Steps to Reproduce:
- Use the desktop app or phone app to create a new login item.
- Fill in the minimum info (username)
- Save Item
- In Safari, open the 1Password extension window and find the new item created in step 1.
- Attempt to select it and view it. It should be selectable and viewable.
- Now open the item created above in the desktop app or the phone app
- Select Edit
- Select add more —> Link to a related item
- Choose any other item to link
- Save item
- Now in Safari, open the 1Password extension window and find the new item created in step 1.
- Attempt to select it and view it.
Observed:
Once the item has 1 or more links to related items it cannot be selected and viewed in the Safari extension.
Expected:
The item can be selected and viewed with 0 or more links to related items
Additional Notes:
This does not happen when the item has Attached Files. Only when the item has links to Related Items.
Also, deleting the link to related item will cause the item to be selectable again in the safari extension.
It is a bug. I added the steps to reproduce to the original post above. Support has reached out via email to say that devs know about it and have a fix coming.
