Can't turn off prompt from "Apple Passwords"

I have been using 1Password for years and recently added the new Apple Password app to my Mac. That was a mistake as it is nowhere as good as 1Password, but now I can't get the Apple app to go away and it covers up 1Password, even with 1Cloud passwords turned off. Any idea how I can get rid of Apple Passwords, to at least disable it? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify, are you seeing the following in Safari or Chrome:

    Can you check the following:

    1. Open your browser.
    2. Right-click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and click Settings.
    3. Make sure that "Make 1Password the default password manager" is turned on.

I look forward to hearing from you.

I have been using the latest version of 1Password, Chrome, and the 1Password extension. I went into Safari, and it was turned off. I also had already turned it off in the system settings. Once Apple Password has been added to the Applications folder, I don't think Apple allows it to be deleted. Anyway, I still have the same problem and I'm pretty sure Apple doesn't care, so I really appreciate your help with this.

Thanks for the fast reply. I have already tried that, but the Apple Password still overlaps with the 1Password.

    Hi there ewestland

You can turn this off by following the steps below:

    1. Click the  Apple menu > System Settings...
    2. Choose General > AutoFill & Passwords.
    3. Turn off AutoFill Passwords and Passkeys to disable Apple Passwords autofilling.

Universal Autofill and the 1Password browser extension won't be affected by this change and will continue to work as they did before. :)
