CIBC autofill not working
A few weeks ago, CIBC changed their sign in process for web banking. It used to be a single page where it asked for your card number (this is your debit card number, not your credit card) and passwor...

1 month agoHi gveres, thanks for reaching out about this!
What you're seeing is a known issue with the updated CIBC sign-in page. Our developers are investigating, and I've added your report to the internal tracker for this issue.
For now, the best workaround is to open the 1Password extension, locate your CIBC Login item, and copy and paste the card number from there. I appreciate that this isn’t ideal, and I’m sorry for the disruption while we work on a fix.
If you have any further questions, let me know.

Appreciate the update.
I started a similar thread three years ago when CIBC's previous change had the exact same results, would not accept or find the ATM card number.
It took a while to solve the problem but you provided a workaround that was fairly solid, is there a similar workaround this time to tide us over?
The referenced discussion and workaround are here .
Thanks!

Hi Joelc,
I've checked the issue on file and it looks as if the below steps are the currently suggested workaround - although I appreciate that this still isn't ideal:
- Open and unlock the 1Password desktop app.
- Locate your CIBC Login item and click "Edit".
- Click "+ add more" and select "Text".
- Change the "text" field's title to "Card" and enter your card number below it.
- Click "Save".
- To fill your login item: Visit the website, click the 1Password icon in your browser, find the CIBC login item, and click Autofill.
Let me know if you have any further questions about this!
