Thank you for the question! I've split your comment into a separate thread since it's starting a new topic.

It's not yet possible to set a default vault in 1Password 8 for Mac however this is something that our team is looking into. I've forwarded your request to our product team so that they're aware that you'd like to see this feature in 1Password 8.
